i don’t miss
but
I saw lips on string’s skybound
pull toward the east
pull toward the west
facing north
a brief chorus of ivory bullets
competing for space
in the passing
I missed the light
refracted infinitely against
a setting refrain of grounded strings
I wanted wings
I wanted sky
to keep your song in bloom
