Lena Mahmoud was nominated for Pushcart Prizes for her story “Al Walad” and her essay “The Psyche of a Palestinian-American Writer” and was shortlisted for the OWT Fiction Prize. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Sinister GuruKNOT MagazinePulp LiteratureFifth Wednesday Journal, and Sukoon.

Samantha Edmonds‘ work appears or is forthcoming in Mississippi Review, Black Warrior Review, Pleiades, The Pinch, and McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, among others. She serves as the Fiction Editor for Grist: A Journal of the Literary Arts, the Community Outreach Director for Sundress Academy for the Arts, and is an MFA candidate at the University of Tennessee.
