A 501(c)3 non-profit literary press collective founded in 2000, Sundress Publications is entirely volunteer-run, publishes chapbooks and full-length works in both print and digital formats, and hosts a variety of online journals.
Sundress Publications is seeking a Graphic Design Intern (apply by Oct. 10, 2018). Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator, experience with book-making, print-making, and/or letterpress, and graphic design experience. An extension of Sundress Publications, the Sundress Academy for the Arts (SAFTA) is an artists’ retreat on a 45-acre farm in Knoxville, Tennessee, that offers residencies to writers, visual artists, filmmakers, composers, and other creators. SAFTA is seeking an Editorial Intern (apply by Sep. 30, 2018). Preferred qualifications include a keen eye for proof-reading, strong written communication skills, familiarity with WordPress and other online mediums. . While internships are unpaid, all interns gain real-world experience with a nationally recognized press and arts organization while creating a portfolio of work for future employment opportunities. Interns will also be able to attend all workshops at the Sundress Academy for the Arts at cost.
