Sundress Reads

In 2020 lockdown, Sundress Reads was born to provide opportunity to foster support for authors with newly published work when in-person celebrations weren’t possible. Our excitement in celebrating small press titles continues, and we feature reviews every Friday.

We are now accepting submissions for consideration for inclusion in our review series, Sundress Reads. We’re looking to feature reviews for any books published or to be published between 2025-2026.

We at Sundress champion writers whose work highlights human resilience and challenges misconceptions. Books by authors from LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, disabled, immigrant, incarcerated, and otherwise marginalized communities are encouraged to submit. We will not consider reviewing any book that promotes actions or includes language that contribute to oppression.

Submission Guidelines

  1. Hello Sundress—
Late last January I sent a copy of my book, “Speak to Me” for review. Did you receive the book and, if so, do you plan to review it? Thanks,

  2. Hi, Sundress Reads! I’m checking on your listed dates. You’re looking for books from 2023-24? The “forthcoming” makes me wonder about 2025, since we’re almost there. I have a book forthcoming in May 2025, so I wanted to clarify these dates.

      1. Hello again! I see you’re accepting titles published from 2023-2025 in the description paragraphs, but #1 on your submission guidelines still says 2023-2024. May I assume these dates were not updated?
