The Bell
I wanted to know
what it was like to receive
without hesitation
and so
I was the mortar
and you the pestle,
I was the pool
and you the waterfall,
I was the bell and you
the tongue,
until
I was not
myself,
only
the humming
only the golden,
being rung
and rung and rung.
