D. Allen (thebodyconnected.com) is a poet, educator, and multidisciplinary artist living in Minneapolis, MN.

Using poetic and essayistic forms and a range of other artistic media, D.’s work explores the body, illness, disability, intimacy, the natural world, and queer and nonbinary identity. This work takes many forms: word architectures, painted surfaces, light drawings, textured sounds, soft spaces, slow dinners, sustained listening, tender assemblages, quiet gardening, deep breaths. They value each of these endeavors equally.

D. is currently at work on a collection of essays, alongside a constellation of experimental solo and collaborative multidisciplinary projects, as a 2019-20 Jerome Hill Artist Fellow. D. recently premiered their first solo work for the stage, NET/WORK, with the support of a 2019 20% Theatre Company Q-STAGE Fellowship.
