Turkish-American poet and performer Sara Deniz Akant was born and raised in New York. She is the author of Babette (Rescue Press, 2015), selected by Maggie Nelson; Parades (Omnidawn, 2014), selected by Gillian Conoley; and Latronic Strag (Persistent Editions, 2015). She studies writing at the CUNY Grad Center and teaches at Medgar Evers College. Her work has appeared most recently in the Bennington ReviewThe Brooklyn Rail, and Lana Turner.

Heather Knox is the author of the poetry collection Dowry Meat (Words Dance Publishing, 2015) and the forthcoming young adult fiction series Vampire Wars (EPIC Escape, 2018). Her poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in Columbia Poetry Review, [PANK], decomP magazinE, Word Riot, Thrush Poetry Journal and elsewhere. She earned her MFA in Poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop in 2013. Heather currently teaches online as an adjunct professor for Southern New Hampshire University and as a teaching artist for Poetry Barn, often from the comfort of her pajamas and the Midwest.
